Enjoy!

Sadly, one of our cats, Domino, had to visit the vet last week: he had a blocked bladder, something which has happened before. We knew this when we adopted him from the cat sanctuary, and it was the reason his previous owner gave him up. He's now on a special diet to hopefully prevent a repeat performance.

How could you resist that face?
He's back home now, alternating between the sofa and our laps.

Book #2 will be started in earnest this week...I promise. Enough planning and procrastinating, I have the first scene in my head and now I'm going to put it to keyboard. I keep hearing bits of the characters' speech in my head, so I take that as a sign that I've got to release them onto the page.

I also plan to make some additions to the website over the Christmas break so keep an eye out for those. I'd love to hear from you with any suggestions for additional content.

The SAD light is going great guns, and I really feel much brighter than I normally do at this time of year. All Christmas shopping is done: mostly online - so much less stressful than braving Oxford Street in December!

Cinnamon & apple muffins & Victoria sponge
In other news this week, I baked two Victoria sponges: one for a friend's birthday, and another was sort of spare; a dozen apple and cinnamon muffins; and a dozen chocolate and banana muffins. These were all consumed with gusto and proved very effective brain food at the planning meeting for the UK GLBTQ Meet for 2013. The team have a great programme and entertainments lined up, and if you have signed up you'll soon receive a newsletter with more details. I'll be talking about it here as things progress and would love to hear your views about last year's meet in Brighton.
Until next time, Liam x

As far as I have seen cats really love to eat fish.

He loves fish, but not he's on a special diet to hopefully prevent him blocking again.
